72 hour fast means no food

72 Hour Fast – My Experience

After many months of waiting to try a 72 hour fast, this week I finally got the chance to push my body to a new limit that it has never reached before. Unable to attempt an extended fast previously as i was breastfeeding my daughter, i made the decision to wait until feeding had finished, in case it affected milk production.   Listening to a series of podcasts that discussed the therapeutic benefits of cycling periods of extended fasting into a ketogenic lifestyle made me curious - a few days of no food (72 hour fast) could help to reset my immune...

Keto Key Lime Cheesecake

Keto Key Lime Cheesecake

Recently I shared a photo of my Keto Key Lime Cheesecake on Social media and had a number of people asking me for the recipe. I’ve finally got round to typing it up and thought it was about time I shared the love and passed it on to you guys for your enjoyment too!   FYI  I use a round Spring Form Cake Tin that has an unclippable side which makes it easier to take out and eat. ;)   Ingredients for the Keto Key Lime Cheesecake topping   400g full fat cream cheese (ensure ingredient is only milk and has no hidden nasties) 600ml double cream Juice...

Keto eggnog

Boozy and Delicious Keto Eggnog

Eggnog is a festive favourite in our household and Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without it! The premixed version available in the supermarkets is loaded with sugar. Christmas is no longer cancelled because we can all have our keto eggnog and keto-on! It’s super quick and simple to make and you can make this as alcoholic as you like!   Of...

Surviving the festive season whilst on the ketogenic diet

With the festive season approaching, it can be easy to lose grip of your focus when it come to both diet and exercise. ‘I can start again after Christmas’, ‘new year, new me’ -  I’ve heard them both dozens of times from clients and a former version of myself prior to my keto days! I used to see Christmas as a big green light to go out and binge on carb-heavy, sugar-loaded processed crap. Chocolate for breakfast on Christmas morning anyone? Yes, we’ve all been there before! I’d then spend the whole of January feeling yukky and angry with myself...

What is a fat bomb

What is a fat bomb?

If you've spent more than 10 minutes on twitter looking at #lowcarb or #keto, you won't have missed fat bombs. We like to start at the beginning though as we're committed to breaking down the jargon for people who are just starting to learn about the ketogenic lifestyle. The name alone would be enough to strike fear into the hearts of any dieter that’s used to treading the usual weight watchers path. After all, we've all been conditioned from a young age that eating fat can never be a good thing - and who likes bombs?   So what is a fat...

Client Story: The Road To 30

The following post is a guest post from Jenna Aston (@jenna_bellebob). She's a wonderful woman and we've been working together for a short period of time now to help get her on a path of positivity. She wanted to write down some of her thoughts in a series of blog posts.   The Journey Starts Since the age of 15 I’ve always been heavily conscious about my weight. Whilst I was massively into gymnastics from a young age and went religiously every Saturday to train, I wasn’t the sveltest gymnast in the world.   Throughout the first half of high school I was known as...
